HAPEI Peace Practice Roundtable
Conversations That Move Peacebuilding From Theory to Practice
The HAPEI Peace Practice Roundtable is a dialogue and knowledge-exchange platform that brings together peacebuilders, development practitioners, researchers, educators, policymakers, young leaders, and other stakeholders to examine Africa’s most pressing challenges and explore practical pathways toward peaceful, inclusive, and sustainable development.
The Roundtable creates space for meaningful conversations that bridge the gap between knowledge, policy, and practice, connecting research, lived experiences, community realities, and innovative ideas.
While peacebuilding remains at the heart of the platform, the conversations extend across sustainable development, governance, youth participation, gender equality, human security, social inclusion, and Africa’s development priorities.
The Roundtable contributes to the vision of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGS) and the African Union Agenda 2063: The Africa We Want by creating a space for Africans to reflect on the continent’s progress, challenges, and opportunities and to explore how young people and communities can contribute to building a peaceful, prosperous, and people-centred Africa.
What began as a platform for conversations on peace practice has grown into an African conversation on peace and sustainable development—connecting people, ideas, and experiences across the continent.
